IF THE FETUS YOU SAVE GROWS UP TO BE GAY, WILL YOU STILL FIGHT FOR IT’S RIGHTS?
Today I was at a small town festival somewhere in Ohio. It was cute, fun, and obviously the biggest thing to happen to that town once a year. Overall I really enjoyed myself. However, one thing caught my eye: a couple of yard-post ad’s reading “PRO-LIFE”. I don’t understand why Pro-Lifers need to broadcast it. Today’s displays obviously weren’t the worst of what I’ve seen, like 8’x3’ wooden posters with images of aborted fetuses on them, or better, delivery trucks with the nasty photos plastered on the sides of them. I feel like I should broadcast my Pro-Choice beliefs by hanging posters of ugly ass kids all over the outside of my house, and having “THIS IS WHY I’M PRO-CHOICE” printed under it. Or more seriously, a kid with no shoes, clothes, an empty refrigerator behind him, and a thought bubble with with an image of the kid’s mom in line at the Welfare office, with “I’M PRO-LIFE. AND MY KID’S HERE TO SUFFER THROUGH IT.” Or how about one that’s split with a line down the middle, the right side being a kid at home watching the tv from a foot away, by himself, and on the left side his mother sliding down a pole. Under that it can read “MY MOM STRIPS TO SUPPORT HER PRO-LIFE DECISION”. Seriously, I’ve got a million of them.
My point is that it’s so frustrating to me how close-minded every Pro-Lifer (that I’ve ever come across) is. Are those people standing outside of the abortion clinic with those giant signs going to pay some sort of child support to help raise the baby that the woman walking in can’t afford? Will they babysit while the 16 year old finished high school? I DOUBT IT.
I’m not Pro-Abortion, but in some cases, it’s definitely the better CHOICE. I like all the cliche lines like “My body. My life. My CHOICE.” Or, “77% of Pro-Life activists are MEN. 100% of them will NEVER be pregnant.”
